1. 14-Day Cooling-Off Period (Annual Subscriptions)
If you purchase an annual subscription for the first time, you may cancel within 14 calendar days of your initial payment date and receive a full refund. This cooling-off period applies to first-time annual subscription purchases only and does not apply to subscription renewals or monthly plans.
Our Commitment: We want you to be confident in your annual commitment. If the Data Alchemy Platform isn't right for you, contact us within 14 days of your first annual payment for a full refund. We also offer a 14-day free trial and monthly billing for those who prefer flexibility.
1.1 Important Notes
The 14-day cooling-off period applies regardless of platform usage during that window. We encourage all users to take advantage of our 14-day free trial (no credit card required) to fully evaluate the platform before committing to an annual subscription.
1.2 How to Request a Cooling-Off Refund
To request a refund within the 14-day cooling-off period:
- Email us at info@knowsis.net with the subject line "Refund Request"
- Include your account email address
- We'll process your refund within 5-10 business days
Refunds are processed by Knowsis via our payment processor, Paystack. You do not need to contact Paystack directly — all refund requests are handled by us.
2. Subscription Cancellations
2.1 Monthly Subscriptions
You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time. When you cancel:
- You retain access to the platform until the end of your current billing period
- No further charges will be made
- No partial refunds are provided for unused time within the current billing period
2.2 Annual Subscriptions
Annual subscriptions are billed in full at the start of the subscription year. Subject to the 14-day cooling-off period described in Section 1, annual subscriptions are non-refundable. If you cancel an annual subscription after the cooling-off period:
- No refund will be issued
- You retain full access to the platform until the end of your paid annual period
- Your subscription will not auto-renew
Why no pro-rata refunds? We offer a 14-day free trial (no credit card required) and monthly billing options so you can evaluate the platform before making an annual commitment. The annual plan's discounted pricing reflects a full-year commitment.
3. Refunds for Service Issues
Outside of the cooling-off period, we may provide refunds or service credits in the following exceptional circumstances:
- Extended outages: If the platform is unavailable for more than 48 consecutive hours due to issues on our end
- Critical bugs: If a bug prevents you from using core features and we cannot resolve it within a reasonable timeframe
- Billing errors: If you were charged incorrectly

4. Downgrades
If you downgrade to a lower subscription tier:
- The change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle
- You retain access to your current tier's features until then
- No refunds are provided for the difference between tiers
5. Upgrades
When you upgrade to a higher tier:
- You gain immediate access to the new tier's features
- For monthly plans, you'll be charged the prorated difference
- For annual plans, contact us to discuss upgrade options
6. Free Trial
Our 14-day free trial requires no payment upfront. If you do not subscribe to a paid plan before your trial ends, your access will be limited and no charges will be made.
7. Processing Time
Once a refund is approved:
- Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days
- The refund will be credited to the original payment method
- Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take additional time to appear in your account
Refunds are processed via Paystack and credited to your original payment method. Please allow 3-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account. For questions about the status of a refund, contact us directly at hello@knowsis.work.
8. Non-Refundable Items
The following are not eligible for refunds:
- Custom development or consulting services
- Enterprise contracts with custom terms
- Accounts terminated for violation of our Terms and Conditions
